JOB DESCRIPTIONAPPLY Superior Group is looking for a Buyer II for our Client located in Kilgore, TX.
Participate in Supplier Commodity Team activities
Perform analysis of purchasing needs, including analysis of costs
Forecast requirements, issuing periodic reports on trends, and negotiating pricing, discounts, and contracts
Review requirements document (i.e., statement of work, drawings and specifications) for clarity and adequacy
Identify potential resources for required materials, equipment, supplies and services, and developing and issuing request for proposals
Respond to supplier inquires and coordinating source selection decisions with other company activities
Negotiate terms and conditions, price, delivery, quality, and performance requirements
Ensure all procurement actions which commit Client are properly documented, reviewed and approved consistent with policy and procedure
Understand Quality System processes to include a working knowledge of Counterfeit Parts procedures including the use of an approved supplier list (ASL)
Support proposal activities with innovative solutions to meet program needs and requirements
Participate with proposal evaluation teams in fact finding, technical evaluation, and cost/price analysis
Prepare and issuing purchase orders for selected suppliers consistent with policy and procedure
Required Skills / Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in business management or business administration or supply chain management.
Minimum of 3 years’ Buyer experience.
