Shift: Day

Purchases a high volume and variety of materials, supplies, and services. Evaluates bids, selects, and recommends suppliers and negotiates price, delivery, quality, and service. Follows up on all awards until completion of order. Negotiates and settles with suppliers regarding damage claims, rejections, return of materials, over-shipments, cancellations, and engineering changes. Conducts supplier site visits and rates them as to production capability, performance, and delivery. Responsible for complying with corporate policies, procedures, and underlying Federal, state, and/or local regulations concerning the purchase or shipment of goods, materials, or services.

Requirements:
Requires Bachelor?s degree or equivalent in Business Administration or related field and two to four years of related experience.Additional QualificationsCandidate shall have a minimum of an associates (two-year technical) degree and have at least three (3) current years of experience in the conducting procurements for items similar to those provided under this SCM contract. Shall be an expert in coordinating activities involved with procuring goods and services, such as raw materials, equipment, tools, parts, and supplies. Shall be required to confer with vendors or suppliers to obtain product or service information such as price, availability and delivery schedules. Shall determine the method of procurements, prepare purchase orders or bid request, review bid proposals and negotiate orders within budget.
