Job Description:

PRIMARY FUNCTIONS:

Serve as a Senior Analyst supporting PMW 160 Consolidated Afloat Network and Enterprise Services (CANES) System Engineering Support. Provide for the development, documentation, delivery, upgrade and support of the CANES infrastructure and network information distribution services for the force-wide tactical information and combat support systems across all security enclaves. This engineering support includes investigation into technology updates for production, Configuration Management (CM), preparations for updating production, implementation, engineering documentation, conducting modification of product improvements within the performance envelope, documentation of requirements, documentation of analysis, validation documentation, and a review of application data.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

CANES ENGINEERING CHANGE REQUEST (ECR) RESOLUTION SUPPORT:

* Provide expert engineering and technical support to resolve approved complex CANES-related ECRs.

* Ensure supporting documentation is updated and proper CM is maintained via the PMW 160 (CCB)/PTRB (PTRB)/CMPro workflow processes.

* In support of ECR development, produce repeatable test procedures, execute testing, and produce test reports.

* Resolve technical issues introduced by design modifications and upgrades, in coordination with system testers, the Network Integration Engineering Facility (NIEF) team, and ANE IPT members.

* Support the creation and management of CANES related ECRs in accordance with the Configuration Management Plan.

* Identify alternative approaches and associated replacements for all CANES hardware and software components associated with approved ECRs.

* Provide the cost basis for each ECR s course of approach in relation to the current CANES Baseline.

* Present and defend ECRs recommendations at meetings hosted by the CANES Lead Engineer (LE) IPT, Configuration Control Board (CCB) , and Platform Technical Review Board (PTRB).

CANES PLANNING AND IPT SUPPORT:

* Provide Process Engineering support to document improvements and updates to the current System Engineering (SE) process.

* Maintain additional SE Process-related documents including work instructions, checklists, process diagrams, and briefs.

* Update SE documents including the CANES Configuration Item Configuration Document (CICD) to accommodate changes to the baseline.

CANES SOFTWARE/SYSTEM INTEGRATION SUPPORT:

* Support the development, implementation and troubleshooting of a seamlessly integrated design solution that provides the full capabilities of the CANES System and subsystems.

* Support the sustainment and improvement of the current CANES System through improvements and refinements to the current System Integration process.

* Refine/develop software solutions to reduce the complexity of CANES System loading, and integration via automation and scripting.

* Refine/develop software solutions to reduce the time required to load and integrate a CANES System.

* Refine/develop software solutions to reduce the complexity of loading and integrating a CANES System.

* Perform advanced system-level troubleshooting and debugging of the CANES system on fielded platforms.

* Provide CANES system integration and engineering support to the Fleet as required to meet the Fleet s mission capabilities requirements.

MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE IN THE FOLLOWING AREAS:

* Must have a current Secret Level Security Clearance.

* Must have a minimum Cyber Security Workforce (CSWF) Certification of IAT level-2 IAW DoDD 8570.1 M containing Security +, Configuring Windows 7 (70-680 or equivalent), Windows Server 2008 Active Directory Configuring (70-640 or equivalent) and Windows Server 2008 Network Infrastructure Configuring (70-642 or equivalent).

* OR Must have a minimum Cyber Security Workforce (CSWF) Certification of IAT level-2 IAW DoDD 8570.1- M containing Security +, Configuring Windows 7 (70-680 or equivalent), Installing and Configuring Windows Server 2012 (70-410 or equivalent) and Administering Windows Server 2012 (70-411 or equivalent).

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

* 10 years of experience with the engineering, integration, and/or testing of a PMW 160 Afloat Network Program to include one or more of the following: ISNS, SCI Networks, SUBLAN,CENTRIXS, and/or COMPOSE.

* 6 years of relevant experience with System Engineering planning and program oversight support.
