JOB DESCRIPTIONJob Details:
The Cardiac Device Specialist is responsible for basic programming and re-programming of cardiac rhythm devices in a safe and effective manner. Analyzes and troubleshoots devices to determine function and patient information. Completes patient documentation and education as needed.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
*Commits to the mission, vision, beliefs and consistently demonstrates our core values.
*Provides programming and analysis of rhythm strips and histogram data, with assistance as needed.
*Successfully operates a variety of programmers (Biotronik, Boston Scientific, Medtronic, and St. Jude) to assess pacemaker, defibrillator, and implantable loop monitor function evaluations, with assistance as needed.
*Obtains EGM's and ECG's during device evaluations to assist in achieving proper documentation of sensing, capture and other device functions.
*During the process of troubleshooting, evaluates symptoms to gather data regarding device function; correlates findings/symptoms with troubleshooting efforts.
*Provides technician support to physicians, patients, device companies and other staff as needed; explains device functions, interprets rhythms and summarizes data/information.
High school diploma or equivalent required. Post high school medical education preferred. Minimum of two (2) years experience in programming cardiac rhythm devices required. Basic Life Support (CPR) certification required.
