Missile Defense and Protective Systems \(MDPS\) serves as Northrop Grumman Mission Systems' focal point for all activities associated with missile defense, including Command, Control, Battle Management and Communications \(C2BMC\), simulation & modeling, systems engineering, and target discriminationThe C2BMC 8\.2 Network Transition Lead will be responsible for coordinating and leading C2BMC S8\.2 Network activities focused on the successful transition of S8\.2 Network hardware and personnel/positions from Crystal City, VA to Colorado Springs, CO\. The transition is planned to complete by Sept 2016\. The candidate will serve as the on\-site S8\.2 Network COS Site lead providing day\-to\-day leadership of the Network team members once they transition to the new location\. The candidate report to the S8\.2 Network Design Lead, providing guidance and support for the successful development, delivery, and deployment of C2BMC Spiral 8\.2\.Travel required to development site in Crystal City, VA and possibility of travel to operational sites in support of S8\.2 deployment\.Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Science, or Software Engineering and 14 years of experience\. Masters Degree within these areas desirable\. Must possess a DoD 8570 certification at IAT Level II or higher \(Security , GSEC, SCNP, SSCP, CISSP, CISA, GSE, SCNA\)\.The candidate must possess both the technical and management skills to lead C2BMC S8\.2 Network transition efforts and provide day to day leadership of the network development team located in COS\. The successful candidate must be an experienced network engineer with a broad knowledge base across the following areas:
Internetworking WAN/LAN Detail Design, Development, Testing, Implementation, and Support experience\. Multi\-vendor switching, routing, firewall, WAN optimizer, Taclane, and optical transport systems \- Experience with network protocols \(OSI Model Layer 1\-7\), such as:
802\.3 \(1000Base, 10GBase Ethernet\), 802\.1Q, 802\.3AD, IP, OSPF Dynamic Routing, BFD, UDP/TCP, Multicast PIM\-SM/DM, GRE Tunnel, IPsec, NAT, RTP, NTP, DNS, CIFS, NFS, G\.711, SCCP, SIP, SSL, SSH, Syslog, SNMP\. In addition to the protocols, experience with Firewall policy implementation and maintenance is required; and switch/router provisioning to include implementation of CoS DSCP and policy based routing configurations\. Juniper Networks, Riverbed, and Cisco WAN/LAN transport component experience, which includes CME VoIP\. SATCOM and optical WAN transport circuit technology experience; to include DOD circuit ordering understanding\. Experience with fault, performance, configuration, accounting, and security Enterprise Management Systems \(e\.g\. HP NNMi, HP NetAutomation, CA Infrastructure Manager, CA Performance Center, Juniper JUNO Space, Cisco ACE, VMware/vCenter, Packet Decode systems\)\. Experience with Linux and Windows server OS, network attached Storage and LUNS, standalone and blade server platforms, NIDS appliances and management, along with virtual machine and hypervisor implementations Understanding of standard DOD security practices such as, STIG compliance and system accreditation implementation efforts\.The following technical leadership skills/experience are required for this position:
Minimum of 5 years of technical team leadership experience The person is required to document work performed using Visio and standard office applications; and stay informed of Network industry best practices and trends\. The ability to create and manage to program schedules and familiarity with Earned Value Management is required, as well as the ability to prioritize tasking and provide clear direction to team membersPreferred Qualifications:
