Reporting to the Nurse Manager and according to established policies and procedures provides clinical, operational and administrative leadership to the Behavioral Health Units.

Provides clinical resource and leadership to all nursing staff on the Behavioral Health Units as well as professional liaison to medical units and the emergency room. Assumes responsibility for patient care, staff supervision and care of the environment on the assigned shift. Assumes accountability as delegated by the Nurse Manager while serving as a role model for professional practice in Psychiatric Nursing.


Bachelors of Science in Nursing (or willingness to enroll), ANCC Board Certification and a Master s Degree in Nursing are highly desirable.

Current registered Nurse License to practice in the State of Illinois.

Current CPR and CPI certification.

Minimum of five years experience in Inpatient Psychiatry with a demonstrated progression of clinical management responsibility.
