Belcan currently has a need for a CMM Programmer to be involved with our Supplychain and Manufacturing Center of Excellence. This position will work at the customer location. Overall, we are looking for someone with several years of hands on experience involving CMM programming, shop floor support, Experience measuring and programming CMMs for complex parts. That can translate well into the customer working environment and provide technical expertise in relationship to supplychain and manufacturing support, troubleshooting, process improvement, insight to quality and measurement systems, Project Management work, etc. Job duties and responsibilities will include, but not be limited to the following:

Act as a team member on large and medium size programs and projects, presenting information as needed, and ensuring critical customer needs are met.
Assist, edit, troubleshoot, and resolve needs with CMM machines and programming in PCMDIS.
Program CMM machines to measure complex parts such as Gears, Carriers, Housings, and Shafts.
Communicate and interact with shop floor personnel, quality/process teams, customer management team, material teams, purchasing teams and other engineers involved in the process.

Strongly Desired:

M.S or B.S. in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, Automotive and Assembly, etc. or equivalent amount of work experience involving manufacturing engineering.
3-8+ years of relevant work experience as a manufacturing engineer using PCMDIS.
Experience and working knowledge of manufacturing process, assembly, and fabrication process.
Experience with heavy equipment, industrial equipment, and/or automotive industries.
Experience creating and updating technical documents, reports, and standards.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Extensive understanding of product engineering concepts and applications.
Ability to be a self-starter with potential for technical leadership and guidance.
Strong analytical reasoning and problem-solving skills.
Ability to communicate technical information effectively with team members, as well as to managers and engineers in client business units.


Mechanical aptitude and an understanding of design for manufacturing concepts.
Hands on experience in the shop/manufacturing environment
Experience with Hexagon CMM (Brown and Sharpe)
Experience measuring parts with hand gauges
Understanding of Mechanics of Materials and Structural Design.
Manufacturing print reading experience
Proficiency in MS Office products.
Knowledge and experience with application of Six Sigma, lean manufacturing, Kaizen, etc.
