DESCRIPTION

The Health Services Research Center provides program evaluation and research services to a variety of health research projects. The position will provide input and consultation to program evaluation activities and health outcomes measurement for San Diego County Adult Behavioral Health Services (SDABHS). Will interact with multiple mental health service programs and staff through training in the administration of outcome measures, and providing technical support and maintenance of protocols.

The incumbent will provide assistance to Study Director and staff to identify and recommend improvements in current outcomes and data gathering to the study. Individual is responsible for creating reports documenting program outcomes to be distributed for SDABHS. The position will also keep detailed and organized records of site contacts, meeting notes, inventory needs, and other project-related metrics as necessary. Assist with other projects/needs as requested.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Degree in Applied Psychology or relevant Degree or other equivalent.
*

Proven experience and knowledge of program evaluation and mental health outcome measures.
*

Computer literacy and word processing skills with ability to use spreadsheet software.
*

Demonstrated ability and experience writing reports, correspondence, and spreadsheets.
*

Demonstrated experience developing and performing administrative duties.
*

Proficient in maintaining thorough files and confidential records according to research practices and protocols.
*

Advanced knowledge of SPSS, STATA, SAS and/or other software packages for data analysis.
*

Ability to work in a busy environment in a timely, organized and effective manner with close attention to detail.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

In-depth knowledge of County Mental Health outcomes evaluation systems and processes.
