C.N.A. II - Medical/Surgical Unit

Functions as a team member to provide optimum patient care as directed by the LPN/RN, and assists in maintenance of a safe and clean environment, under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse in charge of the team and/or unit. The employee must be knowledgeable of departmental and related hospital policies and procedures; and be able to perform all assigned duties within 90 days of continuous service, including successful completion of all competency examinations.
Qualifications: Must be currently certified as a level I and II Nurse Aide with the NC Board of Nursing and maintain both certifications. Must have current BLS Certification. Prefer on year C.N.A. I Med/Surg hospital experience. Knowledge of medical terminology and computer experience required. Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English, and follow oral and written directions.
