CNC Charge Nurse-03216-29549 Primary Location: United States-Colorado-Denver Job: Nursing - Professional Schedule: Full-time Position Summary: The Charge RN enhances the quality and satisfaction of the patient experience on P2 through organizing, coordinating and monitoring patient care. The primary focus is on safety, quality and continuity of care. Specific duties are staffing, patient placement, and facilitation of the discharge process. This RN demonstrates advanced knowledge and skills in the care of the Orthopedic and Neuro-surgical patient and thus acts as the unit resource person. The P2 Charge RN delegates duties consistent with the scope of practice and functions within the overall plan of care at Rose Medical Center. The Charge RN facilitates the growth, development and empowerment of personnel by functioning as leader, role model and mentor. Position Requirements: A. LicensureCertificationRegistration: Current Colorado Registered Nurse Licensure, required. Current BLS certification, required. Orthopedic Nurse Certification, preferred. B. Education: Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing. Bachelor of Science in Nursing is preferred. C. Experience: Two to four years of acute carespecialty nursing is desirable. One to three years in chargesupervisory role is desirable. Able to articulate and demonstrate knowledge of nursing theory and practice. D. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Demonstrates measurable organizational skills: ability to plan and provide for delivery of nursing service, i.e., staffing and scheduling of employees. Displays appropriate judgment and problem solving skills. Communicates positively and professionally with peers as well as all internal and external customers, verbally and in writing. Provides and ensures safe and appropriate patient care as dictated by the Standards of Nursing Practice at Rose Medical Center. Degree of Supervision Required: Minimal, frequent collaboration and coordination with ManagerDirectordesignee. Orientation Period: Minimum of two weeks contingent upon experience. Extensive orientation may be required and is determined by department ManagerDirectordesignee.
