This position will have accountability for all activities within the production facility related to turret programming, parts layout, prototypes, and sheet metal. This will include but is not limited to the following responsibilities:
Responsible for accomplishment of efficient work methods improvement, work simplification and work standards to increase productivity and to reduce manufacturing cost and waste.
Responsible for all daily turret programming needs.
Responsible for all estimating of manufacturing cost for new products, custom orders, and engineering concept designs as related to sheet metal and turret operations.
Creation and documentation of all improvement projects and measurement of those projects.
Complete annual goals and objectives as assigned by supervisor
Associate Degree in a technical field required, business and or computer programming preferred.
3 - 5 years of experience in sheet metal manufacturing and/or assembly environment.
Proven experience with Amada Turret programming and/or a nesting type software.
Must be proficient and competent with personal computers in a Windows and MS Office environment and other applicable business software.
Should possess excellent written and verbal presentation skills.
Must be a self-starter and possess the organizational skills and self-discipline to plan and manage all responsible activities.
Be a strong contributor in identifying cost saving ideas and process improvements.
Perform all other duties as apparent or as assigned.
