COMMUNICATION SERVICE SPECIALIST (RESOURCE)

POSITION SUMMARY

Responsible for handling all calls in the switchboard. Duties include initiating emergency response, Codes, and paging of appropriate personnel and physicians. Expectations for Communication Service Specialists are to perform all duties and responsibilities timely with outstanding customer service and care. All communications are professional in nature and speical attention to the on call schedule and contact protocols. This position must demonstrate the ability to multitask using excellent judgment and behavioral restraint when dealing with dissatisfied customers.

EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or equivalent required. Typing skill at least 35 words per minutes. Multi-line phone and computer experience is preferred. All operators must display excellent grammar, spelling and professional communication techniques. Ability to work without close supervision is essential. Position is task and goal oriented. Position requires the ability to work at a fast pace and make swift decisions to facilitate effective and efficient communication during stressful and emergent events. Resource Varies
