Job Description

COPD Program Manager:

Under limited direction, the COPD Program Manager will coordinate the overall day-to-day management of a clinical research study at the University of Chicago, examining COPD. This research study is taking place in conjunction with the Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) Hospital Re-admissions Reduction Program.

Perform assessments on enrolled subjects. May assist with the preparation of grant proposals, renewals, and financial reports. Prepare data summaries and reports, and analyze data.

Create and utilize screening algorithms using electronic health records to identify patients of interests.

Participates in the daily process of patient screening, consent, enrollment, and data collection.

Manage other administrative aspects of the research project and cross-cover for other hospital-based research studies.

Assists with the preparation of protocols, IRB submissions, grant applications, reports, manuscripts, and dissemination tools. Conducts literature reviews.
