JOB DESCRIPTIONDESCRIPTION/JOB SUMMARY
FULL TIME MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor s Degree in psychology, social work, counseling, rehabilitation, or a related human services field (a related human services field is one in which major course work includes the study of human behavior and development). Requires at least one (1) year of experience in direct service to individuals with substance abuse, mental health or co-occuring conditions. Must be able to provide individualized, integrated mental health, substance abuse and co-occurring services to meet the needs of individuals served and their families. Must be able to use a computer. Must be able to pass a background check. Must have a valid driver s license. Must be insurable under LCI s automobile plan. Must be able to travel locally to clients homes, training locations and other locations as necessary.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: To provide the following services to clients: screening for potential services, bio-psychosocial evaluations, limited functional assessments, treatment plan development, treatment plan reviews, group therapy, psychosocial rehabilitation services. To provide individualized, integrated mental health, substance abuse and co-occurring services to individuals and their families based on individualized treatment plans. Interview, gather and interpret clinical data on assigned clients and then analyze data considering the client s age, developmental level, treatment readiness, stage of change, gender, and cultural background and complete a thorough interpretive summary of client s current state of being. Assess assigned clients for co-occurring mental health and substance abuse disorders. Complete mental status exam on each assigned client. Using interpretive summary and assessment information, provide a clinically supported and valid DSM diagnosis. Use assessment information and interpretive summary to develop an individualized treatment plan for each assigned client. Provide treatment recommendations and level of care decisions that are appropriate to diagnosis, client s level of functioning and medical necessity criteria.
