In alignment with CHRISTUS St Vincent Medical Groups' (CSVMG) Mission, Vision and Values -- The Clinical Quality Manager, under the direction of the Medical Group President and COO will assist in development of processes that facilitate the ability the provider to deliver the highest standard of care in the ambulatory environment. This includes supporting the clinical initiatives in all CSVMG ambulatory practice settings, implementation of clinical protocols, and development of clinical policies & procedures, training associated on-going surveillance and actions needed to assure compliance with all applicable regulatory standards and performance commitments.



Works with direction from CSVMG President and COO and through CSVMG Operational leaders at all levels to cascade goals, clinical education/training and implementation to all clinical support staff in order to meet or exceed established goals and objectives. Communicates and implements strategies for clinical/clinical support initiatives. Fosters alignment with CSVMG practices with all system initiatives related to clinical processes. Advises and leads CSVMG Ambulatory Clinic teams and individuals toward optimum clinical and quality effectiveness and outcomes that are individualized based on the scope of care and service in each individual CSVMG practice setting. In coordination with other CSVMG specialty/surveillance/performance leaders- serves as clinical advisor, facilitator, trainer and coach for ambulatory/clinic-level interpretation, implementation and on-going performance as related to ambulatory clinic function. Responsible for the oversight and direction of the Clinical educator and implementation of the clinical quality education program.



Serves as facilitator, advisor and coach to maximize associated patient, provider and staff satisfaction with care, service and work experience.




Requirements



MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Requires a high level analytical ability, substantial interpersonal skills, attention to detail and the ability to perform intense concentration for extended periods



Must have the ability to easily adapt to new programs and technology.



Able to travel to multiple sites as needed.



EDUCATION: RN with Master's degree in Healthcare or Business Management preferred, advanced knowledge of quality and safety programs, research and regulations at a level normally acquired through five to seven years progressively more responsible, related experience in Quality Assurance, Safety, or Managed Care. .



CERTIFICATION/LICENSES: Quality/Patient Safety certification or degree in Healthcare Quality-related field required.



SKILLS EXPERIENCE, Preferred:


- 5-7 years clinical management experience and Quality/Patient Safety Regulatory or other Standards Compliance experience preferred.



- Experience with Acute and Ambulatory care settings.

- Experience in developing and implementing clinical compentency programs in ambulatory settings




COMPUTER SKILLS: Basic computer knowledge, including Microsoft Office suite of products, including Word, Excel & Outlook. Knowledge of eCW, Athena & Midas helpful



NATURE OF SUPERVISION:

-Responsible to: CSVMGChief Operating Officer, President of Medical Group and Quality Council

-Responsible for: Directly supervises clinical education assigned staff(s). Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

- Bloodborne pathogen: B -- If involved in clinical contact.

Works in a clean, well-lighted, smoke free environment.



PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Subject to stressful professional relationships. Working hours vary, with flexibility due to unexpected changes in schedule and emergencies. Requires the ability to speak, listen, develop and communicate written materials. May be required to lift, push, pull and/or carry up to 50 lbs.
