The UCLA Center for Translational Science Institute (CTSI) is currently seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our operations. The over-arching mission of the UCLA CTSI ISP is to integrate special

populations into UCLA's research enterprise to ensure that breakthroughs are quickly translated for the benefit of society and its subpopulations. Special populations include the very broad categories of children, seniors, and populations affected by health disparities (including but not limited to racial/ethnic minorities).

Under the general supervision of Integrating Special Populations project Co-Directors, the Project Manager will be responsible for providing consultations, mentorship, and career development to fellows and faculty across all CTSI institutions; increasing research collaborations on special populations; facilitating clinical research by creating and maintaining a virtual core research facility for special populations; accelerating inclusion of special populations in translational research; and providing research platforms to facilitate research with special populations at UCLA and as a hub for national CTSI activities. The ideal candidate must exhibit a willingness to be flexible and ability to work well with others is critical.

To be considered for this position, you must have a minimum 2-years professional research experience as a project manager. Formal training in health sciences or public health. Experience building and maintaining complex datasets. Experience writing reports and presenting project findings at local meetings. Superior organizational and multi-tasking skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills including attention to spelling and grammar. Works well with others on a team and experience working as part of diverse teams. Experience writing grants and manuscripts for peer-reviewed journals. Working knowledge of UCLA systems and policies. Experience working with Institutional Review Boards. Experience working with vulnerable populations.
