The Canyon Suites Agent is one of the first points of contact for our guests. This critical position will assist the Front Desk, Valet, Concierge, and Bell/Luggage team to ensure our guests needs are met. This individual will also play a key role in promoting the Starwood Preferred Guest Program, while providing recognition and benefits to all current members. The most suitable Canyon Suites Agent will have at least 2 years of experience in a hotel environment, ideally within front desk, concierge, or other high guest contact capacity. Prior exposure to an upscale hotel, resort, or country club setting strongly preferred. Requirements POSITION PURPOSE This position assists with all guests needs from before they arrive to the check in process, and everything else in between. This individual also gracefully greets and escorts guests to their room while providing a Canyon Suites overview and noting all preferences obtained. Our Agent will also assist with Concierge services throughout ones stay. The selected individual will also assist with the morning, afternoon, and evevning refreshments tastefully served in our elegant lobby. Our Ambassador will also assist with hosting our complimentary evening Wine Tasting, which is held on a weekly basis. Individual will also assist with special amenities including hand written welcome card , and other personalized items to guest rooms. Upon check out, our Ambassador will provide boarding passes, transportation coordination, and ensure final billing process is flawless. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Average ' of time 30' Check-in and Check-out process, including billing function. 25' Concierge assistance , and property knowledge. Local exposure to all destination activities and recommendations (ideally from personal experience). 20' Follows all Star Quality Assurance, AAA, and Forbes service standards. Assists with any other operational or guest need, as directed by Management 15' Answers phones using phone etiquette in three rings and assists guests with general information, pre-arrival or pre-departure needs, and any other desires. 10' Food and Beverage lobby displays, wine knowledge for Wine Tasting Hour, and custom amenity set-up and delivery Other: Regular attendance in conformance with the standards, which may be established from time to time, is essential to the successful performance of this position. Employees with irregular attendance will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment. Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, employees may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the hotel. In addition, attendance at all scheduled training sessions and meetings is required.
