Job Description

Accredo is a leading provider of specialty pharmaceutical services with a national network to provide the best patient care. We specialize in the distribution and clinical management of therapies for chronic pulmonary, respiratory, neurological, and immune disorders.The Cardio Pulmonary Account Manager is responsible for promoting and selling Pulmonary product lines to accounts in assigned territory. The role will focus on maintaining and developing relationships with manufacturer representatives supporting the product line. Specific Responsibilities Include:Implements sales activities, and is responsible for achieving sales objectives and increasing sales and gross revenue. Acts as a liaison between PAH centers, pulmonary physician practices, hospitals, and AHG business units supported by the CPNS (Cardiopulmonary Nurse Specialist), branch management and branch clinical team. Can provide therapy specific education and training (if applicable). Attends clinical support meetings with the Pulmonary Hypertension Support Group. Attends and represents company in National Cardiopulmonary and other disease related meetings.Encourages joint sales activities with manufacturer representatives to gain access and evaluate interest in new and existing accounts. Attends and represents division at meetings for PAH and other Pulmonary product lines.Visits PAH and other Pulmonary accounts to promote sales activities, facilitate referral process and support communications. Educates and obtains clinical and financial documentation from referral sources to obtain clearance from payer for PAH and other Pulmonary therapies, including new and existing clients. Supports product implementation and launch of new Cardio-Pulmonary product lines.Assists with PAH and other Pulmonary disease and therapy presentations. Accountable for coordinating and working with CPNS and branch in facilitating new cardiopulmonary business. Participates in conference calls reporting on referrals and updating branch and sales cardiopulmonary teams on area information/data relative to PAH and other Pulmonary therapies. Attends regional/national sales meetings as requested.Identifies and reports contract issues, threats, and opportunities to management.Assists National Account Managers (NAM) in implementing managed care contracts to drive local 'pull-through' business. Communicates regularly with AVP and NAMS to provide updates on payer issues.Gathers and appropriately reports, in pre-approved manner, specified patient health information to assist as requested with treatment, payment, and health care operations. Adheres to all HIPAA guidelines and related company policies at all times.Case conferences with other representatives of the service branch when this is part of the branch strategy.Attends and participates in conferences/exhibits for targeted audiences (i.e. case managers, physicians, nurses etc.) Documents all sales related activities according to AHG policy and in systems that are in current practice for these activities.Mileage Reimbursement at current IRS rate.Keywords: Cardiology, Cardiopulmonary Product Lines, RN, Pulmonary Diseases, Pulmonary Therapies, Cardio, Cardiac, Cardio Pulmonary, Cardio-thoracic, Heart, Lungs, Cardiovascular, Infusion, Home Health, Home Care, Manufacturer Representatives, Nurse Liaison, Cardio Pulmonary Sales.

Requirements:
Required Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in business, pharmacy, nursing (can be associate degree or diploma in nursing) or related field and 5 + years sales, managed care case management, pharmaceutical/or nursing experience.Preferences:Clinical background with experience in pulmonary/or cardiology strongly preferred.
