JOB DESCRIPTIONAPPLY JOB DESCRIPTION:
The role of the Cardiovascular Technologist is to perform diagnostic testing on patients through use of age appropriate principles of growth and development. Tests are performed for patients aged neonate to 1 year, 1 year to 12 years, and adolescent through geriatric and include 12 lead EKG, 24 hour holter scanning with interpretation, treadmill exercise, pharmacological exercise, complex pulmonary/metabolic stress tests, Thoracic-bio impedance testing (non-invasive cardiac output), and Tilt Table testing. Functions in a multi-skilled environment, which requires application of customer service and clinical skills. Assists with training students, technicians to perform EKG and holter monitors.
One year in a healthcare setting
One year performing EKG and Holter application and scanning
High School Diploma or GED
Certified Cardiographic Technician
