The role of the Certified Cardiovascular Technologist is to perform diagnostic testing on patients through use of age appropriate principles of growth and development. Tests are performed for patients aged neonate to 1 year, 1 year to 12 years, and adolescent through geriatric and include 12 lead EKG, 24Holter scanning with interpretation, phlebotomy, treadmill exercise, pharmacological exercise, complex pulmonary/metabolic stress tests, Thoracic-Bio Impedance Testing (non-invasive cardiac output), Tilt Table Testing. Functions in a multi-skilled environment, which requires application of customer service and clerical skills. Assists with training of students, technicians to perform EKG and Holter Monitors.
* High School Graduate or GED
* CPR certification
* Certified Cardiovascular Tech preferred
* 1 year previous experience
* Previous experience in performing EKG's, Holter application, scanning, and treadmill testing preferred
* Basic clerical skill such as typing and transcription, filing and answering a multi-line telephone
* Knowledge of advance cardiac arrhythmias preferred
