JOB DESCRIPTIONBased out of the downtown Gleacher Center, the Career Services Manager drives the execution of core operations for the Career Management team and leads initial interactions with over 1400 students enrolled in The University of Chicago Booth School of Business (Chicago Booth) Evening, Weekend, and Executive MBA programs as well as the school's over 49,000 alumni.
The Career Services Manager oversees daily business operations of the Career Services office to ensure maximum expense control and to support maximum productivity. Continually expands their understanding of Career Services offerings, business processes, and technologies to make service and operational improvements.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Oversee daily business operations of the Career Services office to ensure maximum expense control and to support maximum productivity.
Serve as a resource to students and alumni, responding appropriately to a wide variety of career guidance and career research inquiries and requests. Have an awareness of and continually assess new technologies and the leveraging of existing technologies to improve delivery of Career Services offerings to be responsive to the needs of alumni and students across Evening, Weekend, and Executive MBA programs; evaluate and improve business processes to support Career Services productivity.
Manage all administrative accounting for Gleacher, Hong Kong, and London Career Services offices, including reconciliation of internal accounts with official university ledgers, and managing the administrative budget for the office. Total funds under purview: $200,000. Oversee the payment disbursement, reconciliation and troubleshooting process of all incoming invoices and payments to Gleacher and London Career Services.
Manage existing, and evaluate potential, vendor relationships as well as student and alumni access to InterviewStream, CareerLeader, and Forte. Partner with vendor to implement system changes and troubleshoot system issues. Partner with Career Services team to identify and implement new technologies.
Create and implement a knowledge management process across the Career Management team to continually update content of the Career Management websites.
Create and continually audit coaching reports and provide monthly analysis of coaching activity to the Director, Career Management.
Assist the Senior Associate Director, Manager, and other team members as needed, in supporting of the overall Career Services programming.
Ensure the cost effective procurement of office supply inventory and procedures to ensure efficient daily operations, to include auditing and managing allocated vendor relationships.
