SUMMARY- Responsible for reporting daily deposits and posting payments to appropriate AR accounts.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Attends work on a regular and predictable basis.
Obtain daily deposit information from bank account(s) and/or credit card payments from Transaction Central.
Post payments received daily to said accounts. Ensure the information is accurate and balances with the bank records.
Research any payments received where the account cannot be identified.
Notify supervisor immediately of any deficiencies in progress or payments that cannot be posted timely.
QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully in the Lincare team environment, a Cash Application Clerk must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily within a specific time frame. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE- High school diploma or equivalent. One to three years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education/experience. Knowledge of medical field preferred. Computer literacy, minimum keyboarding skills, and proficiency in the use of office equipment required for performance of assigned duties. Knowledge of telephone etiquette and adequate oral and written communication skills are of primary importance for success in this position.
REASONING ABILITY- The skills and abilities required for this position include a positive and cooperative manner in working and communicating with individuals at all levels of the organization. This person should be self-directed and possess the ability to follow instructions.
