The primary responsibility of the Category Leadership Advisor is to enable Kraft Heinz and the customer to grow category and Kraft Heinz sales by defining the best possible product assortment and shelving. The Category Leadership Advisor has ownership of assortment and shelving strategy and execution for the assigned customer. Leverages category, customer and market knowledge to localize the department/category standards to maximize category and Kraft Heinz sales. Gains customer alignment by developing and delivering focused, insights-based space and assortment selling stories. Maintains on-going dialogue with customer around results and recommended strategies.

Primary Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

Planogram Updating - 40%


* Acts as the expert on Space Management software

* Finalizes common planogram based on agreed upon project objectives

* Develops and maintains alternate versions of common planogram

* Revises planograms with optimal assortment to include new and/or discontinued items

Product Assortment - 25%


* Identifies key metrics and methodology to conduct assortment analysis by category and brand

* Targets items for deletion, addition, and retention based upon duplication/variety criteria

* Develops the most effective product assortment based on agreed upon parameters

* Confirms that assortment fits in planogram

Situation Assessment - 20%

* Performs retailers assessment of department/category strategies, objectives, assortment, POG and shelving

* Leverages syndicated data sources to populate key category insights

* Measures baseline planogram results against objectives

Aisle & Category Modification 5%

* Consult major reset implementation with retailer (i.e. aisle, look and feel of POG)

* Asses customer planogram vs. BU gold standard

* Applies best in class shelving for specific retailer

Other Job Related Activities - 10%

* Develops effective assortment and shelving selling stories using relavent customer and syndicated data

* Responds to Sales team requests

* Effectively scans retail sections with space management software.

* Maintains data and product images

* Engages customer on shelving strategies, planogram alignment and implementation details

* Performs retailers assessment of department/category strategies, objectives, assortment, POG and shelving

Minimum Qualifications

* Bachelor s Degree

* 3 + years of experience in merchandising, planograms, shelf management, category analysis, customer management, and account management.
