POSITION TITLE: Category Marketing Manager

REPORTS TO:Director, Retail Marketing

LOCATION: Corporate Office - 1011 E. Touhy Ave., Des Plaines, IL

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Category Marketing Manager will be responsible for leading and further developing key retail category(s) within WHB's frozen bakery portfolio. The Category Marketing Manager will evaluate the product portfolio, help define the growth strategy, and develop initiatives setting a foundation from which to both grow and innovate.

KEY RESPONSBILITIES - Responsibilities will include but will not be limited to the following:

Develops annual business plans, secures buy-in cross functionally and from senior management and executes such plans on time and on budget. Manages all aspects of the marketing mix: product, packaging, pricing, promotion and merchandising.
*

Analyzes category performance and understands drivers of performance, recommending corrective action proactively when required.
*

Manages A&P budgets, optimizing spending while adhering to approved budget.
*

Identifies and develops innovative marketing programs to drive growth in the portfolio
*

Leads the development and commercialization of all new product launches for category(s).

*

Leads cross-functional teams. Develops exceptional cross functional relationships to ensure overall commitment to the portfolio.

*

Works in close partnership with Customer Marketing and Sales to ensure flawless execution of developed programs.

REQUIREMENTS:

5-10 years marketing/category management/product management experience
*

University/college degree - preferably in business or marketing
*

Strong computer skills - MS Office, Excel, PowerPoint

Passionate about food, a plus
*

Experience using syndicated databases a plus (IRI, AC Nielsen, etc.)
*

Available for moderate travel (25%)
