We are actively searching for an experienced and energetic individual to become Catering Sales Manager of Four Seasons Hotel San Francisco! The Role - Overview This critical role is responsible for handling local catering - corporate and private individual client events, planning all details of an event while overseeing relationships. We are looking for individuals who have a solid knowledge of food and beverage, able to evidence strong business acumen, have a proven track record displaying creativity and excellent communication skills. This position will sell corporate and social catering events in a busy urban environment. Essential Functions This list is not all inclusive and should only be used as an overview of all actual responsibility. o Actively solicit new business and respond to inquiries with the intention of confirming profitable catering business and achieving Quarterly Sales Goals. o Maintain an active trace/follow-up system on all inquiries and personal sales calls. o Conduct property tours and entertain planners of meetings, social events, and weddings. o Plan and/or attend and/or participate in meetings with hotel staff and clients, including but not exclusive to: Morning Operations Briefing, Morning CS Briefing, Resume Meeting, Banquet Event Order Meeting, Sales Meeting, Pre-Convention Meetings, Board of Operations, Menu Tastings, and Planning Visits. o Coordinate the sales efforts between sales and catering departments to insure proper utilization of function space to yield maximum revenues. o Finalize the requirements of confirmed bookings while maximizing revenue potential through up selling and ensuring effective communication both written (Resumes, BEO, Daily Reports) and personal contact with all departments for the success of the event. Ensure accuracy of Banquet Checks and provide bill review on completion of program or event. Prepare a monthly booking report. Qualifications & Experience o Viable candidates must have a minimum of two years of experience in the same or similar role. o Knowledge of property management systems required. Opera and Delphi knowledge preferred. o Experience in a fast0paced urban environment highly desired. o Candidates with a degree in hospitality, or similar, are preferred. o Ability to quickly and positively establish rapport is required. o Above average communication skills - both written and oral - are required.
