Headquartered in Houston, Texas, ConocoPhillips stock is listed on the New York Stock Exchange under the symbol 'COP.'Description:The person in this position is the primary environmental resource to Pipeline and Terminal operations in the Central Division, which includes assets in Kansas, Missouri, Illinois, Iowa and Nebraska. Responsibilities include monitoring, maintaining and implementing HSE management programs to ensure compliance in accordance with all local, regional, state, and federal regulations. Responsibilities may include:* Functional expertise in most environmental disciplines* Responds to customer and external requests for environmental support on all projects in the positions geographic area of responsibility - from initial project assessment to final permit preparation, submission and approval* Provides project management and implementation guidance for HSE issues* Assists in developing strategies and implementation plans for emerging environmental issues* Provides guidance, regulatory interpretation, and assistance with procedure development for a variety of environmental issues* Completes all routine regulatory and permit driven compliance reporting for assets within the positions geographic area of responsibility* Develop and continually expand regulatory and technical expertise* Define training objectives and develop or coordinate environmental training course content, format, and presentation methods* Advise, assist with and complete environmental reporting requirements for local, regional, state, federal and corporate entities* Participates in HSE auditing efforts* Coordinates the collection and analyzing of environmental metrics throughout the year* Maintain good relations with various regulatory agencies* Incorporates business risk in analysis of alternatives* Proactively support and or lead HSE initiatives that support the businessBasic/Required: * Legally authorized to work in the United States* Bachelor's degree in chemistry, engineering, environmental sciencePreferred:* 3 years of environmental experience* Trained in emergency response incident command system and procedures* Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint applications* Knowledge of environmental regulations and HSE management systems* Knowledge and understanding of EPA regulations and environmental air, water and waste issues including Title V, NSPS, RCRA, NPDES, SPCC, MACT and other local, regional, state and federal environmental issues. * Work effectively within teams and within diverse work groups* Demonstrates clear and concise oral and written skills* Can tailor communication to all audiences* Effective listening skills* Ability to solve broad range of complex problems* Ability to utilize approaches that require innovation and change* Well developed planning and organizational skills including the ability to work independently, prioritize activities, meet commitments, and proactively manage time* Good collaborator* Ability to effectively communicate with and positively influence operations personnel* Self-directed (or takes initiative)In order to be considered for this position you must complete the entire application process, which includes answering all prescreening questions and providing your eSignature on or before the requisition closing date ofFebruary 19, 2012.
