Centrifugal Product Manager II/Director Summary: Plans, organizes, and controls an assigned product line from conceptual stages through product life cycles to optimize profit and meet marketing, financial, and corporate growth objectives by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Leads, develops and recommends marketing objectives, including sales volume and profit forecasts.
Advises management regarding technical issues and provides recommendations so that persons without specialized subject knowledge can act or make decisions.
Directs market development, sales promotion, distribution and pricing policies.
Analyzes market trends and potentials. Prepares sales forecasts for use in planning manufacturing operations and controlling inventories.
Establishes marketing plans to achieve corporate objectives for products and services.
Researches, analyzes, and monitors financial, technological, and demographic factors to capitalize on market opportunities and minimize effects of competitive activity.
Develops and manages marketing operating budget.
Oversees development and production of promotional and collateral materials.
Develops and recommends product positioning, packaging, and pricing strategy to produce the highest possible long-term market share.
Achieves satisfactory profit/loss ratio and market share in relation to preset standards and industry and economic trends.
Ensures effective control of marketing results, and takes corrective action to guarantee that achievement of marketing objectives falls within designated budgets.
Monitors competitive products and marketing activities.
Establishes and maintains relationships with industry influencers and key community and strategic partners.
Recommends modifications of assigned product or products.
Maintains contact with the sales force to monitor trends and keep informed of sales force needs.
Develops methods for field testing merchandising programs to determine public acceptance. Evaluates the effectiveness of promotions and advertising programs, and recommends improvements or changes.
Review complaints and suggestions relative to assigned product or products.
Participates in the preparation of advertising programs for the assigned product or products and supervises market research. Develops and recommends new product concepts.
Coordinates departmental activities with other departments, such as engineering and manufacturing, to ensure synergism of objectives.
Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.

* Bachelor's degree (Technical, Scientific or Engineering)
* Ten years of related experience.
* Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.
* Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
* Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format.
* Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
* Word Processing software; Spreadsheet software; Internet software and Project Management software.
* May directly supervise 2-4 non-supervisory employees.
* Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
