Challenging career position for a Certification Engineer in a very prestigious, international company.
In this role, the candidate will serve as a Certification Engineer and is responsible to create certification documentation in accordance with EASA/FAA regulatory requirements for seating restraint systems and airbag systems. Candidate will have extensive knowledge of restraint components and the methods required to certify the components used in a system certified by EASA and then, using bi-lateral agreements, obtain FAA approvals. This position will report to the Senior Product Engineer. There is no supervisory responsibility with this role. This position will travel about 20-30%, domestic and international.
Essential Job Functions: -Create certification documentation to European Technical Standard Orders (ETSO) and US TSO restraint systems. -Maintain certification of restraint systems to ETSO and TSO standards via minor change submittals -Create certification test plans and reports for STC programs for certification to EASA and FAA requirements. -Authority on determining if changes are classified as minor or major and related to EASA and FAA guidance. -Perform any other duties as assigned
Position Requirements: -Clear and in-depth knowledge of FAA, European and other Foreign National Authority aircraft certification regulations pertaining to restraint and airbag systems. -Minimum of 7 years certification experience -Experience with static strength analysis and electrical and mechanical systems analysis. -Ability to write reports, technical memorandums, interface agreements and requirements documents. -Able to utilize Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Project PC tools We are an equal employment opportunity employer and will consider all qualified candidates without regard to disability or protected veteran status.
