Sutter North Medical Foundation is the recipient of the Excellence Award for Patient Satisfaction from Sutter Health.The Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant visits patients in their place of residence. Assesses patient's mobility, rehab potential and home environment for safety. Provides direct occupational therapy treatment as designed by an occupational therapist under the direction and supervision of the occupational therapist. Arranges for equipment and provides training to patients and caregivers. Accepts and implements orders from physicians. Participates in team conferences.TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS: Work is performed in patient's homes and an office environment. Involves frequent contact with staff, patients, and the public. Contact may involve dealing with angry or upset people. This position requires a person who will dress and act in a professional manner at all times and in all circumstances. The ability to communicate well is emphasized.
