Job Description
Company: William Backus Hospital
Facility: William W. Backus Hospital at Norwich
Department: Operating Room
A surgical technician responsible for providing delivery of technical support services (i.e. surgical scrub, instrument processing and sterilization. Demonstrates appropriate infection control practices and promotes patient advocacy. Education: A graduate from an accredited Surgical Technician program required. Experience: Six (6) to twelve (12) months experience in an operating room setting required. Prior experience in an acute care environment highly desired.
License and Certification: Certification as a certified surgical technologist required. If not certified at time of hire, certification must be obtained within (6) six months of start date. Rotating weekends, holidays and on call Days
