Business Unit Overview
Valves & Controls manufactures valves, actuators, and controls solutions for some of the most challenging applications throughout the oil and gas, power, mining, chemical and pharmaceutical, food and beverage and building and construction industries. We partner with customers to help keep their operations running safely, minimize downtime and improve business efficiency.
This position is responsible for implementing the NA Channel Strategy, managing the Channel Partners within a specific territory, account planning for demand creation and coordinating resources to support the Channel Partners, customers and target accounts. . This position is tasked with developing the most efficient and productive Channel to market within a specific territory, growth within the territory and establishing executive relationships with Key Channel Partners
Job Requirements & Skills
*Demonstrate expertise and knowledge of managing Channel Partners, Building and Maintaining relationships with CP Executives
*Business Acumen: Ability to conduct business level discussions (expansion, investment, etc.) with CP Executive. The ability to create business plans with SMART objectives
*Managing People Effectively: The ability to manage virtual resources (internal and external). Resources available from Pentair and the CP.
*Complex Problem Solving: The ability to analyze complex issues down to the root cause, create a solution and follow to resolution
*Entrepreneurial Spirit - The ability to manage territory, execute NAGTM & Channel Strategy and develop a plan for the territory to provide required growth. Think outside the box to provide unique solutions.
*Strategic Thinking - the ability to apply NA Strategy to local market, make long term decisions and execute plans over a long period of time.
*Have knowledge of PV&C products, industries, customers, applications, terminology, purchasing practices and project pursuit.
*Internal Network - establish relationships within Pentair management to provide support and execution of NA Channel Strategy
*Ability to develop account plans and project pursuit strategies with minimal guidance from management.
*Demonstrate customer focus by meeting and exceeding customer expectations
*Teamwork and interpersonal skills are critical for this position due to the various interfaces internal and external to the organization
*Maintain the proper focus and be persistent to introduce new PV&C products and services to our customers expanding our portfolio to unseat competitive offering
*Conflict Resolution Skills - ability to resolve complex issues while maintaining positive working relationships
*Problem Solving Skills - ability to analyze complex problems, develop root cause and create process to resolve for win-win solution
