Sodexo Corporate Services is seeking a Chef to join our team at Acushnet in Fairhaven MA.(nearest metro area Providence, RI) Acushnet is a management fee account with a MV of 1.5 million of which 175K is catering. The food operation consist of 2 cafes and a 24 hour kiosk location. One of the cafes serves Breakfast only, and the other serves Breakfast and Lunch. This account is the central kitchen food production site with distribution of product to three locations. The Chef Supports the Sr.Executive Chef providing both technical and culinary support. Oversees production of commissary supporting 3 micro markets in the portfolio. The Chef will be responsible for all culinary functions in the Exec Chef's absence. Additionally as the Chef you will manage a six-person team in daily production and operations of the cafe, servicing an employee population of approximately 475 people. Other duties will include development and implement of a wellness program compliant with client and corporate dietary guidelines. Creation of multi-cultural menus, and ensuring nutritional values analysis, ordering, inventory and overseeing the FOH operation in addition to the BOH operation. Position Summary Responsible for food production in a foodservice operation. May be responsible for one area (i.e., hot foods) or could specialize (i.e., catering). Supervises a staff of hourly associates. May be responsible for food inventory and ordering. May conduct culinary training. Manages the kitchen. Reports to GM or Executive Chef.
