Sodexo Universities has an opportunity for a Chef Manager for Valley City State University located in Valley City, ND. North Dakota has a very low state income tax and was recently ranked #1 for states with the most freedom. With an enrollment of 1230 undergraduates, food operations on this campus include resident dining for 350 students, catering, and retail dining locations. Reporting to the General Manager, this hands-on Chef Manager will oversee all culinary production in these areas. Estimates food consumption and purchases food. May assist in cooking and preparing food as necessary. Responsible for maintaining kitchen and storage facilities in sanitary condition. Responsible for cash management. Interacts with client/customers on a regular basis. This position is the leader for an account/unit chef/production group. This position is in smaller accounts/units where there is not a Executive Chef or Food Production Manager. Reports to General Manager.
