JOB DESCRIPTIONBLENDS OPERATOR 1
Position is responsible for contributing to Plant 2 Blends Production by being fully capable of performing all “packaging” requirements along with the responsibility of performing Mixing “compounding” requirements.
Examples of these functions would be:
Fully cross-functional in all forms of packaging and appropriate set-ups – Manual, Robo, Preweighs, off-mixers, etc.
Completion of all required checklists, maintenance request forms,
Proper usage of waste streams
Appropriate cleanup of machinery
Computer compounding requirements
RCC Quality & environmental policies
Producing & pulling partials, Hold tags & MCO
Gathering & returning packaging & mixing materials as required (including hot box & water bath)
Knowing & following appropriate safety protocols
Post compounding requirements (returning raws, cleaning screens, vessels, totes, etc.)
Labeling packaging, samples, containers as required
Banding, wrapping finished products
Loading & unloading compounding totes & pouring oils
Discharge station operation
Maintaining water filtration station
Ensures he is compliant with all safety & quality regs
Printing and usage of all required documentation (labels, schedules, 100 parts, traceability, control charts, etc.)
Set-up of packaging & mixing equipment (printers, ion cannons, misters, pumps, water berg, etc.)
Mixing on all Blends machines
Drug, Physical, criminal and background checks required.
High school diploma or equivalent (GED.)
Minimum two years experience in a manufacturing environment; chemical industry preferred.
Ability to function independently in a team environment with minimal supervision.
Knowledge of hazardous waste materials and the appropriate handling and disposal of such products.
Basic mathematical and computer literacy skills.
Superior verbal and written English communication skills.
Demonstrated knowledge of basic manufacturing safety and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) guidelines.
Working knowledge of manufacturing specifications and raw materials preferred.
Current tow motor/forklift operator certification/license preferred.
Ability to complete assigned tasks in a timely manner.
Adherence to Company attendance and punctuality policies and standards and corporate values.
Ability to work flexible shifts, including overnight and weekend hours.
Ability to meet and maintain established occupational demands and fitness for duty requirements.
