As a Chief Engineer, you would be responsible for directing and overseeing the functionality and safety of the facility, including the physical buildings, mechanical equipment, electrical system/s, heating and cooling systems, life safety systems and grounds in accordance with local, state and federal laws and regulations. Conducts facility inspections, assigns, verifies and documents the completion of all routine maintenance and repairs in the property maintenance management system. Directs, oversees and maintains required documentation for the energy management and conservation and preventive maintenance programs. Leads, manages and communicates capital projects and property rehabilitations, including scheduling, budgeting and complying with contractor bidding standards. Obtains required licenses and permits and ensures full compliance with codes, regulations and safety standards to protect the well-being of all guests and team members. Interview, train, supervise, counsel, schedule and evaluate staff Currently, Hilton Grand Vacation is a subsidiary of Hilton. We presently anticipate that, at some point in 2016, Hilton Grand Vacations will be spun off from Hilton and become an independent, public company. We do not anticipate that this change will affect your terms of employment. The Chief Engineer will oversee and manage Hilton Grand Vacations Club at Anderson Ocean and Ocean 22 by Hilton Grand Vacations. Specific Job Knowledge, Skills and Ability: * Excellent knowledge of electrical systems, components, and devices, HVAC systems, boilers, mechanical systems, and the maintenance and repair of all. * Excellent knowledge of public construction and building systems including all related permits, licensing, and new and existing codes pertaining to public building and fire safety. * Skill in the use of computers and software programs associated with Property Operations. * Skilled in the proper and safe use of all tools, equipment, materials, chemicals, and products relating to the department. * Excellent English verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills * Ability to remain informed on state-of-the-art developments effecting the safe and effective operation of the building facility. * Ability to analyze all associated systems as to their design, intent, and effective performance. * Ability to positively communicate and instruct employees, offering assistance in areas where they lack knowledge, skills or experience.
