Chief Executive Officer

A well known nonprofit organization in southern California seeks a dynamic, innovative Chief Executive Officer to provide strategic and operational leadership for a legal services-oriented social enterprise with high growth potential. The social enterprise is envisioned to become a joint venture between the nonprofit organization and a yet to be established for-profit entity. The CEO role is ideal for someone with the right combination of business acumen, passion for innovation and contacts. The CEO will have primary responsibility for managing the social enterprise, which is envisioned to evolve into a for-profit joint venture or subsidiary of the nonprofit organization. The candidate must have relevant senior level management experience and will secure financing, create and implement the overall strategy for growth, provide organizational leadership and overall have responsibility for marketing and sales efforts, financial and organizational management and external communications. The candidate must have prior success with strategic and sales marketing plan development and delivery, ideally in the Internet space. The candidate will have demonstrated track record of attracting and managing angel and Venture Capital funding rounds and must have experience in initial public offerings and mergers and acquisitions. General corporate law knowledge is a plus. The CEO will be an experienced entrepreneur who has taken at least one startup from Series A all the way to an investor's exit strategy. The CEO will manage relationships and constituents at the nonprofit organization and in the legal services community, the courts and the private bar.
