JOB DESCRIPTION_Integrated Medical Services (IMS) is a physician-led organization united through its providers' commitment to high-quality, innovative health care. The multi-specialty group has primary care and most specialties well represented throughout the Phoenix metropolitan area and many rural locations._
Reporting to and partnering with the CEO, the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will establish IMS' financial policy and direction while also being an active participant in, and driver of, the organization's overall strategy.
S/he will lead all financial administration, business planning, and budgeting. Provide direct oversight of the financial operations to include the development and implementation of a comprehensive internal and external growth plan which increase revenues and profits.
Partner with the CEO on all operational and strategic issues as they arise; provide strategic recommendations to the CEO based on financial analysis and projections, cost identification and allocation, and revenue/expense analysis.
Participate in the ongoing strategic planning process.
Oversee long-term budgetary planning and cost management.* Engage the Board of Directors other pertinent committees around issues, trends, and changes in the operating model and operational delivery.
FINANCIAL AND OPERATIONAL MANAGEMENT
* Participate in developing new business, specifically: assist the CEO in identifying new funding opportunities, the drafting of prospective programmatic budgets, and determining cost effectiveness of prospective service delivery.
* Assess the benefits of all prospective payer contracts and advise the Executive Team on programmatic design and implementation matters.
* Work with the CEO to ensure programmatic success through cost analysis support, and compliance with all contractual and programmatic requirements. This includes: 1) interpreting legislative and programmatic rules and regulations to ensure compliance with the Qualify Payment Program: Delivery System Reform, Medicare Payment Reform, prepare and communicate monthly and annual financial statements.* Review all formal finance-related procedures, processes, and administration, recommending improvements to the systems in place and managing the systems going forward.
Develop and manage direct staff, to include managers/directors* Engage other members of the senior management to facilitate cross-department collaboration
The CFO will be a seasoned and mature leader with at least 5-10 years of broad finance experience in the healthcare industry. Experience gathering and evaluating financial information and making actionable recommendations to senior leadership. S/he will have experience managing finance (accounting, budgeting, control, and reporting).
SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
A Graduate degree in Finance or Business.
Mature and proactive, with evidence of having worked as a true business partner/
Demonstrated excellence in managing finance, accounting, budgeting, control, and reporting.
Skill in examining, developing, reengineering, and recommending financial policies and procedures.
Strong analytical skills and experience interpreting a strategic vision into an operational model.
A collaborative and flexible style, with a strong service mentality. Needs to be seen as a team player who is committed to lifelong learning.
A hands-on manager with integrity, ethical conduct, and a desire to work in a dynamic environment.
An effective communicator, with strong oral and written skills.
