Job Description
Chief Medical Officer CHCW seeks a Chief Medical Officer to lead innovations in service quality and cost effective care. Community Health of Central Washington (CHCW) has a twenty year history of innovating community systems of care through service and education. CHCW is a non-profit provider of primary care services and a federally qualified health center. CHCW owns and operates the Central Washington Family Medicine Residency; the only GME program serving central Washington. CHCW operates 5 medical sites and one dental clinic, serving two counties in central Washington State. CHCW provides over 100,000 primary care visits annually, with a staff of over 200 dedicated and service oriented professionals. CHCW is based in Yakima, WA, located in the sundrenched eastern foothills of the North Cascades. The community of 95,000 and the surrounding mountains and rivers provide ample opportunities for everything from city amenities to wilderness adventure. The successful applicant must demonstrate the ability to: - Lead initiatives to implement CHCWs EHR, achieve meaningful use, and attain NCQA certification - Communicate to staff and the community, a vision of improved health service delivery, and the programs to achieve it - Manage clinical site and service directors, quality improvement and risk management staff - Develop effective quality improvement and risk management programs - Participate with the CHCW management team to implement care management, outreach, and quality programs Qualifications: MD or DO, FP preferred with additional training and experience to support his/her competency in the above realms. Maintain active primary care practice. Interest in GME.
