JOB DESCRIPTION

THE COO will be responsible for all aspects of business planning, sales, project delivery, performance management and organizational development.

The COO candidate must have a proven track record of running a mid-sized manufacturing organization with success while achieving corporate goals.

Bachelor's degree, preferably in Civil or Mechanical Engineering. Working knowledge of ACI, ASTM, and PTI codes and recommendations is highly desired.

(Preference given to candidates with a civil engineering construction background)

THOROUGH KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING OF:

Accounting procedures, systems related to budgeting, audit and cost control principles as well as job costing, inventory control, shipping, receiving, and billings. Additionally, the right candidate will have working knowledge of profit/loss statements.

MUST HAVE:

Experience at the COO level with full production responsibilities in manufacturing.

Experience working in both small privately held companies and larger companies.

International experience.

Must have excellent analytical, verbal, and written communication
skills with the ability to effectively use spreadsheets and scheduling
tools to plan, organize, and execute the flow of work in the most
efficient manner.

At least 10 years' experience in successfully managing a manufacturing facility. Responsibility for at least 40 employees and revenues of more than $50M.

Non-union leadership experience required.

Experience in six sigma with either a black or green belt; or equivalent process improvement experience.

Results-proven track record of exceeding goals and a bottom-line orientation; demonstrated ability to consistently make good decisions through a combination of metrics, data, analysis, wisdom, experience and judgement. Must have a high level of business acumen including successful P willing to roll up their sleeves, able to act and react when necessary, even if limited information is available. Able to overcome resistance to leadership and take unpopular stands when necessary.

Intellectually curious. Uses data to solve problems, investigate solutions, make decisions and drive results.

High level of personal and professional integrity and trustworthiness. Is authentic and transparent `Exhibits patience, compassion and does "the right thing".
