We are currently looking for a Civil Design Engineer to join our team in Orange, California. Our Civil Engineers perform general civil engineering tasks supporting our design team for various type of projects including transportation, water resources analysis and municipalities' infrastructure. Job duties consist of reviewing and applying appropriate software, engineering, calculations and design criteria in the development of reports, plans, specifications, and estimates. Essential responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:

Independently performs all conventional aspects of design civil engineering and analysis.
Independently performs and conducts engineering techniques and applies professional judgment to accomplish project tasks.
Implements design standards, procedures, and criteria.
Provides technical guidance to designers/drafters and less experienced engineers.
Responsible for the successful completion of projects within the time limits and budget.
Maintains client relationship and develops new relations with potential clients.
Assists our proposal team in preparation of work orders and engineering services proposals.
Tasks will be accomplished under the supervision of a Project Manager/Engineer.

Minimum Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of civil engineering experience in design and construction of public works projects
Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering Discipline from an accredited college or university
Engineer in Training (EIT/FE) certificate; Professional Engineer License in the State of California is preferred
Experience performing transportation and water resources analysis and design
Proficient in Civil3D/AutoCAD
Track record of responsibility in project delivery
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong interpersonal and presentation skills
Valid applicable California Driver License

Desired Skills and Work Experience

Knowledge of Standard Plans and Specifications for Public Works Construction
Knowledge of AASHTO, HDM, CA-MUTCD and Caltrans Standards and Design Manuals
Knowledge of Southern California hydrology, hydraulic and drainage design criteria
Master's Degree in any Civil Engineering Discipline
Experience in GIS (ArcMAP/ArcGIS)
