The SKW Internship Program is a comprehensive, 10-week paid program. During this time, you will learn first-hand about the industry by participating in professional activities and assisting SKW employees with projects in your area of expertise. For the summer of 2017 we are looking for Civil Engineering Interns to perform the following: /p

p Responsibilities: /p

ul
li Perform lab testing, engineering calculations, and field work /li
li Develop the skills necessary for reading and interpreting schematics, technical drawings, process & instrument drawings (P&IDs), and engineering calculations /li
li Assist Project Engineers and Project Managers in the drafting design and development of site plans, water/wastewater, infrastructure, and transportation project using AutoCAD /li
li Communicate with clients regarding design changes /li
li Develop project management skills /li
li Coordinate work with other disciplines /li

p Minimum Qualifications: /p

p Current enrollment as a Junior or Senior in an ABET accredited university pursuing a Civil Engineering or related bachelors degree. /p

p Preferred Job Qualifications: /p

li Familiar with MS Office Suite /li
li Understanding of computer-aided design and drafting (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation) /li
li Excellent interpersonal skills, self-starter, highly motivated /li
li Strong problem-solving and math skills /li
li Detail orientation /li
li Excellent written and verbal communication skills /li
