Responsible for the administration of routine personal and corporate accounts involving trusts. At the direction of manager, serves a point of contact/relationship lead for client.
Daily contact with Trust clients to answer general inquiries, or facilitate client requests. Processes transactions to include cash disbursements, trades, account balances and establishes new accounts and trust terminations to ensure proper administrative management.
Prepare accurate and timely paperwork for daily transaction and maintenance requirements of client accounts. Verify account activity on a regularly determined basis. Foster client relationships. Demonstrate the ability to interpret basic trust and/or investment information in order to prepare client communications.
Provide support for Relationship Managers by managing telephone calls, sorting and delivering mail. Adhere to applicable compliance/operational risk controls in accordance with Company or regulatory standards and policies. Promote an environment that supports diversity and reflects the M&T Bank brand. Complete other related duties as assigned.
NATURE AND SCOPE:
Direct contact with clients, internal resources and external (i.e. clients/customers, investment professionals, attorneys, accountants, etc.) professionals/businesses in support of the client relationship. Support the efforts of a variety of professionals to include Relationship Managers, unit managers and supervisors, to name a few. Work within a team environment that requires not only individual focus but actions that support the group as a whole. Ability to work on multiple tasks under supervision in a fast paced environment.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
Associates degree OR in lieu of a degree, a combined minimum of 2 years higher education and/or work experience.
IDEAL QUALIFICATIONS PREFERRED:
Degree focus on Finance/Accounting/Economics preferred.
Strong focus on customer service and satisfaction, direct client contact.
Proficient with standard office software and applications
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to develop strong working relationships with administrative support areas appropriate to the business unit. Examples include Operations and Legal groups.
