POSITION SUMMARY:
The Client Invoice Representative performs a variety of clerical duties in support of GeneDx institutional billing services. As an integral part of our team the position serves in a cross-functional, fast-paced environment in order to meet performance and quality assurance benchmarks. The Billing Representative must exercise flexibility when serving as back-up support according to billing needs and in the interest of efficiency in workflow and operations. Essential duties include testing and invoicing in a new platform, updating files for the team, updating contracts while communicating with critical employees.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Use of multiple platforms to test and support invoicing of institutional clients
Effectively communicate with external vendors on process updates and protocols
Contact client accounts for various issues on invoices
Assists management on special projects as needed
Ability to work with different teams on a variety of items that go above and beyond the normal duties
Consistently meet established productivity, schedule adherence, and quality standards while maintaining good attendance
Adheres to the company Compliance Program and policies

Minimum Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS:
Understands the importance of maintaining confidentiality; able to maintain confidentiality under HIPAA standards.
Must have the ability to exercise a high degree of diplomacy and tact; excellent customer services skills.
Clear and professional verbal and written communication skills including telephone etiquette.
Able to navigate a PC environment and utilize MicroSoft Office particularly MicroSoft Excel.
Must be a self-starter, motivated and have the ability to prioritize and multi-task.
Knowledge of medical coding.
Proficient working knowledge of computerized data management systems and healthcare operations; or the ability to quickly develop in proficiency to meet the demands of the position.
Must be well organized and detail-oriented.
Able to work independently within a team environment.
Can successfully learn and follow directives, updated rules and procedural changes.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, employees, and other key stakeholders.

REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor s Degree Preferred
Intermediate computer skills
