We have an immediate need for a highly motivated, results oriented Client Server Engineer.
Key Responsibilities: Plans, coordinates, implements, documents, and supports installations/upgrades of client/server technologies including but not limited to Microsoft's Active Directory, Windows Server 2003/2008, Exchange 2007/2010, VMWare, McAfee EPO, Windows 7, ISA and FIM.Identify, diagnose, and resolve e-mail, network operating system, and MS Active Directory domain problems to ensure reliable availability, connectivity, and performance. Develops hardware specifications in support of business objectives and is proficient in server and workstation platform build, configuration and test methodologies
This position resides in the Client/Server group of STS (Strategic Technology Services). This group is responsible for developing technical solutions utilizing new client/server based technologies in support of business objectives and STS initiatives. The group is also responsible for evaluating, implementing, and supporting client/server systems and applications across the enterprise, including electronic mail, VMware and all related tools and utilities in support of CDI business initiatives and compliance practices.
Key Requirements:3-5 years of hand-on experience supporting an Active Directory 2008 R2 environment in a large, geographically dispersed enterprise. Hands-on experience with McAfee ePO platform in an enterprise setting of larger than 1500 users Must have an in-depth understanding of the Exchange Server 2007 architecture and how it interacts with Active Directory. Advanced knowledge and ability to understand, develop, test and deploy batch, PowerShell and VB scripts. 1-3 years of hands-on experience as a systems engineer in a large corporate environment. 2-4 Years hands-on experience with installing, administering enterprise anti-virus systems in large environments across multiple sites. 6 years experience with Microsoft workstation and server operating systems. Experience with supporting production Windows and Exchange environments in a 24X7 operation. Demonstrated knowledge of Networking Concepts, i.e. DNS, WINS, DHCP, TCP/IP Working knowledge of Storage Technologies, i.e. SAN, NAS Practical experience with Ethernet networks, networking topologies and implementations Hands-on experience defining server hardware specifications with particular emphasis on DELL servers, laptops, and pc's. Extensive experience with industry standard toolsets for migration, support, administration and implementation of client/server based technologies. Proven ability to work in a team environment Demonstrated verbal and written skills Ability and drive to quickly learn new technologies and skillsets MCSE certification, preferable.
