Description

Creating and assisting with the expansion of business opportunities and in the development and implementation of educational activities that increase patient volumes to agency through relationship with host facility or facilities.

Will use independent judgment to make recommendations for decisions regarding patient's acceptance and admission.

Will coordinate services between referral source and appropriate service line representative (Home Health, Hospice, Pediatrics, and Primary Homecare and other service lines as appropriate to location).

Will provide education and information to patients, patients' families, hospitals, nursing homes, physicians and other community entities.

Will obtain all required consents for agency services that are being requested through meeting with and offering solutions to prospective patients and families.

Will build effective relationships with referring staff at hospitals, nursing homes and other care facilities. Must be able to work a flexible schedule and travel.

Requirements

EDUCATION:

Must be high school graduate. Associate degree is required in a Healthcare related field. Bachelor degree preferred in Healthcare related field.

EXPERIENCE:

Prefer at least one (1) year experience in similar position. Preferred sales background. Ability to assist families in selecting appropriate HomeCare options. Must be able to work independently.

LICENSURE / CERTIFICATION:

Clinical Licensure is preferred (i.e. Registered Nurse, Licensed Vocational Nurse). Medical Military experience may be substituted as prior clinical experience.

EQUIPMENT / SKILLS:

Computer skills, knowledge of facsimile, typing skills; must have good interpersonal relationship skill in dealing with patient's, families, nurses, physicians staff and co-workers; must have good organizational skills. Professional appearance and conduct, teaching abilities and critical thinking skills.

Knowledge of MSOffice applications -- Word, Excel and Powerpoint
