Functions under the direction of the Vascular Institute Director. He/she is responsible for the coordination of the day to day functions and activities of all nursing functions in the VI, Vascular Admit Recovery Unit and Medical Imaging Department. The Clinical Coordinator serves as a resource/support to the staff, physicians, patients, families, and other departments. Assist VI Schedulers as needed with coordination of PHS Patient Schedule including a daily review of next day, patient schedule in collaboration with a representative from the vascular surgeons group. He/she is responsible for performing or assisting on a wide variety of clinical procedures requiring independent judgment including utilization of specialty equipment for the diagnosis and/or treatment of diseases. The Clinical Coordinator is responsible for coordination and implementation of the nursing process based on expanded knowledge and experience. The Clinical Coordinator is responsible for providing and coordinating patient care with an understanding and awareness of age specific needs. The Clinical Coordinator coordinates the educational needs of the patient, family or patient support system, including biological, emotional, developmental, psychosocial needs. The Clinical Coordinator will successfully collaborate with multidisciplinary, specialty and physician groups. The Clinical Coordinator is responsible for regulatory compliance and readiness as well as quality and patient safety initiatives. The Clinical Coordinator provides direct patient care as needed in the VI, VARU and Medical Imaging.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS: minimum requirements to be considered qualified to do the job.
Required Minimum Education:
Graduate of an accredited/approved School of Nursing and holds a current license in the State of Georgia.
BSN preferred.
Required Minimum Experience:
Prefer Critical Care, Interventional and Perioperative experience

The individual must be able to communicate and understand verbal and written English language and display a positive attitude (see WellStar's 'Standards of Gold' and 'Values').
