JOB DESCRIPTION

DESCRIPTION

The Clinical Informatics Analyst is responsible for the tasks related to the overall successful building, training, implementation, and maintenance of assigned clinical HIS modules and programs. Additionally, this position acts as a liaison for physician IT support.

Clearly understand the benefits, challenges, and obstacles to EMR adoption.

Develops and manages dictionaries for nursing, providers and other clinical components of the IT system.

Coordinates testing and parallel runs of the system as needed.



Proactively identifies potential IT-related issues, identify and implement solutions.



Develop and deliver training programs, taking into consideration adult learning styles, for new staff and providers and ongoing education to all staff as necessary.



Ensure training is efficient through participant feedback and reevaluating and modifying training as needed.



Qualifications



Current licensure as RN in NYS

* Minimum 3 years of clinical experience.

* Clinical Informatics experience is preferred.

* Experience as developer or user of MEDITECH or other vendor EMRs such as EPIC or CMS preferred.

* Strong Computer Skills. Proficient with Windows applications
