Department: Acute Rehab
The Clinical Manager is a registered nurse and practices as a leader, team member and professional using the American Nurses Association Standards of Clinical Nursing Practice (2004). The registered professional nurse is accountable for the delivery of evidence-based, safe, quality patient and family centered care based on the mission, vision, and values of Mercy Medical Center-Clinton.
The Clinical Manager assumes responsibility and accountability for screening potential inpatient rehabilitation patients for appropriateness of service, facilitating admissions from referral sources/agencies, and managing cases of designated patients. Works cooperatively with other patient team personnel in maintaining professional standards and interdisciplinary teamwork.
QUALIFICATIONS
Active registration for Registered Nurse - Board of Nursing, State of Iowa.
Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree required.
Previous leadership experience with a minimum of five years of direct/clinical experience.
Rehabilitation Nursing Certification preferred at hire; otherwise within agreed upon timeframe.
Must be BLS certified within 3 months of hire.
Must be ACLS certified within one year of hire; once ACLS is obtained BLS is not required.
Strong communication skills with the ability to motivate others.
Ability to problem solve at all levels.
Ability to lead and facilitate groups, community leadership and committee project involvement.
Collaborative team player and colleague who can work closely with others in a team-orientated setting.
An open and flexible person who can deal with ambiguity and change.
Must be able to demonstrate basic computer skills in a Windows environment.
Possesses working knowledge of personal computer using programs such as Word, Excel, Powerchart, etc.
Must be comfortable operating in a collaborative, shared leadership environment.
Must possess a personal presence that is characterized by a sense of honesty, integrity, and caring with the ability to inspire and motivate others to promote the philosophy, mission and vision, goals, and values of Trinity Health. Full Time Varies RN Required
