A Clinical Nurse independently provides patient care through the nursing process of assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation from admission through transfer or discharge.The Clinical Nurse is responsible for working with the interdisciplinary team to provide evidence-based, high quality patient care and safety. The Clinical Nurse will provide competent patient care and will be utilized as a resource to other nurses. The Clinical Nurse is responsible for chemotherapy administration; biotherapy administration; other IV infusion treatments; patient educational care of the oncology patients.
EDUCATION/WORK EXPERIENCE: Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing and successfully completed the State Board of Nursing Licensure Exam. Must possess Oncology/Chemotherapy experience. Must possess Chemotherapy Administration Certification. Must obtain twenty (20) CEU s per year, fifty (50) percent of which must be clinically focused. Academic course credits may be used on a 1:1 credit hour exchange. BSN preferred. Must possess a minimum of 1 year of nursing experience. CPR Certification required. Critical thinking and prioritization skills are required. Regular Part-time All Shifts Bachelors degree is preferred Certification Required Licensure Required 1-2 years experience is required
