Clinical Nurse Specialist Perinatal

Cooley Dickinson Hospital, a dynamic 142-bed community hospital in Northampton, Massachusetts, seeks an experienced Clinical Nurse Specialist to join its award-winning Childbirth Center. Through leadership and education, this individual helps ensure the continued delivery of the highest-quality care in both full-scope perinatal as well as gynecological services. Featuring six labor and delivery rooms, 12 post-partum rooms, a dedicated operating room, and water birth capability, the OBGYNs, midwives and nurses at Cooley Dickinson deliver 800+ infants in our Childbirth Center each year. We have a Level 1A Nursery, and both adult and pediatric hospitalist programs in-house which are available 247. - The ideal candidate will possess at least five years experience and clinical competency in perinatal and gynecological care, including Lamp;D, mother-baby, cesarean birth and recovery, and gynecology, as well as demonstrated experience in a teaching role. - Masters degree in Nursing with a Clinical Nurse Specialist focus, certification in a perinatal specialty area, ACLS, NRP and current registration as an RN are all required. - Affiliation and active involvement with a pertinent professional organization are strongly preferred.
